I'm Aliyyah—creative entrepreneur, tea enthusiast, and founder of The Loose Leaf.
My connection to herbs began in my Caribbean upbringing, where plants were woven into everyday life.
Those early experiences sparked a lifelong appreciation for the beauty, versatility, and tradition of botanical ingredients.
Years later, living in London deepened that appreciation. Surrounded by a culture where tea is more than a beverage—it's a moment to pause, connect, and savor—I developed a greater understanding of how simple rituals can bring meaning to everyday life.
London also introduced me to the artistry of tea, from thoughtfully crafted blends to the experience of gathering over a beautifully prepared cup.
Over time, I began creating my own botanical blends, exploring how herbs, florals, fruits, and spices could be combined to create flavors that were both memorable and approachable. What started as a personal passion evolved into a desire to share those experiences with others.
The Loose Leaf is the expression of those influences—Caribbean herbal traditions, London's tea culture, and my own love of thoughtful design, hospitality, and flavor.
